About Us

The Aydin Foundation aims to set up projects that are based on Aydin's love for water and books in order to keep his memory alive. The foundation will be focusing on providing aid around these two causes both nationally and internationally.

Our Mission

Provide access to clean water that can be used for drinking and other purposes. Educate about safe sanitation, good hygiene and clean drinking water practice. Teach people about safe water practises and to help eradicate water borne diseases and infections.

100% Donation Policy

The Aydin Foundation has a 100% donation policy. Every penny you donate will go towards the projects.

Our Vision

The Aydin Foundation seeks to make a positive change on the lives of people in Africa and the Asian Subcontinent through cleaner water and educational programs. The target is to increase the number of projects year on year.

“The Aydin Foundation was set up in the memory of baby Aydin Kamaly, who passed away at the age of 16 months whilst on holiday.”

The foundation was started by Aydin’s parents Fahmida and Rumel Kamaly in order to keep his memory alive. Aydin’s main two loves were his love for water and books. The foundation will be focusing on providing aid around these two causes. The purpose of the foundation is to educate, teach and provide. The Aydin Foundation has a 100% Donation Policy.

Aydin’s love of water and books is broad which allows the foundation to focus on different projects surrounding these. The clean water project allows for implementation of clean water, sanitation and hygiene. Whilst the ‘Gift of vision’ project, enables The Aydin Foundation to focus on helping people retain their vision (or indeed give their vision back through Cataract Surgery) to allow them to read and prosper.

The Aydin Foundation strives to provide clean, safe drinking water whilst providing educational resources where its required the most.

Our efforts will center around Aydin's love for water and books

Sustainability Projects to Support Local People

Alongside building and educating people on a global scale, we understand our responsibilities as a UK charity and strive to conduct local projects to benefit the home counties. These consist of first aid classes to local school and nurseries, free school meals to students during holiday periods and more.

Last Campaigns

Computers For Schools in Africa and Asia

Schools in remote parts of Africa and Asia lack basic essential equipment. The Aydin Foundations goal is to allow the next generation to prosper. It is time to uplift the generation out of poverty and let them prosper. The Aydin Foundation will be delivering computers to schools with training to staff on how to effectively teach their students.

Gift of Vision Project

Bangladesh is one of the highest disease-burdened countries in the world for ocular morbidity, with tremendously low cataract surgery rates per million population per year. It is estimated that the prevalence of blindness in Bangladesh is 1.53% among the population aged 30 years and older.

Free School Meals at Home

Children on free school meals struggle during the holiday period. With the ever increasing cost of living crisis, it is more important than ever to support our local school children with free meals at home during the holiday period.

Global Clean Water Project Asia

Around 1.2 billion people, or almost one-fifth of the world’s population, live in areas of scarcity. Another 1.6 billion people, or almost one quarter of the world’s population, face economic water shortage (where countries lack the necessary infrastructure to take water from rivers and aquifers). The Clean Water Project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water to remote and desolate villages worldwide by installing deep water wells.
